Gaza: the first seven Israeli hostages handed over to the Red Cross by Hamas

The first stage of the US plan for a ceasefire in Gaza began this Monday, October 13, with the expected return to Israel of the first live hostages.

Seven Israeli hostages were handed over in the Gaza Strip by the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas to the Red Cross this morning, Monday, October 13, within the framework of the ceasefire agreement signed with Israel.

“According to information provided by the Red Cross, seven hostages have been handed over to it and are on their way” to be handed over to Israeli soldiers and members of the Shin Bet (internal security) “within the Gaza Strip,” writes the Israeli army in a press release.

At this announcement, applause and shouts of joy broke out in Tel Aviv’s Hostage Square. Among them is Omri Miran, the oldest of the hostages. At 48 years old, she is a masseuse-therapist, of Hungarian nationality.
