The agreement on the export of Ukrainian grains via the Black Sea will be extended for 120 days, the infrastructure minister of the Kiev government confirmed on Thursday.
“The initiative [transporte de cereais] in the Black Sea is extended for another 120 days”said Minister Oleksandre Koubrakov in a message distributed via the social network Twitter.
According to the Ukrainian minister, this is an important step “in the fight against the world food crisis”, exacerbated by the new invasion of Russia, which began on February 24.

Earlier, Turkey signaled the relaunch of the agreement on the export of Ukrainian grains “under the same conditions” as previously verified, a senior Turkish official told France Press, speaking on condition of anonymity.
For example, the first phase of the diplomatic initiative in force since July for the transport of grains across the Black Sea expires on Friday and has so far enabled the export of 11 million tons from Ukrainian ports.
According to the source of the French news agency, the extension of the agreement will allow exports for another 120 days.
