Iranian authorities executed four people accused of working for Israel’s Mossad secret services on Sunday, state news agency IRNA reported.
IRNA said the country’s powerful Revolutionary Guard had announced the arrest of a network of people linked to the Israeli agency.
“This morning, the sentences against four of the main members of the group of bandits linked to the secret services of the Zionist regime [Israel] were executed, said the judicial agency Mizan Online, quoted by the France-Presse news agency (AFP).
Members of that network robbed and destroyed public and private property and kidnapped people and interrogated them, IRNA added, according to which the group had weapons and received salaries from Mossad in the form of cryptocurrency.
Israel and Iran are regional enemies. IRNA, quoted by the Associated Press (AP) news agency, identified the executed prisoners as Hossein Ordukhanzadeh, Shahin Imani Mahmudabadi, Milad Ashrafi and Manuchehr Shahbandi.
