At least ten people have died, including five children, due to a fire in a seven-story building in a suburb of Lyon, France. According to the French authorities, there are still 14 injured in serious condition.
The fire, whose “origin is unknown,” was “already extinguished,” the authorities added in a statement.
The flames started shortly after 03:00 a.m. (02:00 a.m. in Lisbon) on the ground floor of the building, in the Vaulx-en-Velin area, and spread to the upper floors.
There are about 170 firefighters on the scene, two of whom were slightly injured during the firefight.
