Two teens were shot to death and two wounded Friday afternoon near a Chicago high school in the Midwest, authorities said.
Chicago police said two boys, ages 14 and 15, were struck in the head and died instantly.
The two injured, both 15 years old, were hospitalized with minor injuries, it added.
Chicago firefighters said the youths were shot near Benito Juárez High School.
So far, the police have not made any arrests and have opened an investigation to determine the identity and whereabouts of possible suspects in the shooting.
