Canada: son of murdered billionaire couple offers 25 million dollars against all information

On December 15, 2017, Barry and Honey Sherman, ages 75 and 70, were found dead in the basement of their Toronto mansion. Police concluded that the billionaires had been murdered twice, saying they had been strangled.

Five years after the death of the Canadian billionaire couple Barry and Honey Sherman, found hanged on December 15, 2017, their son Jonathan has announced that they offer 25 million dollars for any information that will clarify this crime. Previously, $10 million had already been announced as a reward.

“I will not be able to cry until those responsible for this diabolical crime are brought to justice,” he said in a statement sent this week to the Canadian television channel CBC.

“My parents had earned the right to enjoy the fruits of their hard work and spend the end of their lives like any grandparent, with their family. I continue to miss them terribly every day and am always tormented by what happened to them.” he added he.

“I have been overwhelmed with grief, loss and grief, and these feelings only get worse all the time,” he said, explaining that he experiences “a nightmare every day” and “immeasurable pain” when he realizes that their children will not know their grandparents.

No trace of manipulation

On December 15, 2017, Barry and Honey Sherman, ages 75 and 70, were found dead in the basement of their Toronto mansion, where their indoor pool was located, hanged by a belt to the pool’s guard rail, in a semi-sitting position.

The septuagenarian was the founder of the pharmaceutical group Apotex, specialized in the manufacture of generic drugs.

In 2018, after six weeks of investigation, the police concluded that the billionaires had been murdered twice, claiming they had been strangled. No trace of a break-in had been found in his luxurious home.

In December 2022, police released video capturing a person walking on a sidewalk near the Shermans’ home on December 13, 2017, the day investigators believe the crime occurred. Toronto police said investigations are still ongoing but have not confirmed whether or not a suspect has been arrested.
