Kyiv calls for new advances in eastern Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said late Sunday that his army had recaptured the strategic city of Izium in eastern Ukraine from Russian forces, where Kyiv is waging a counteroffensive that has broken through Russian lines.
In his daily speech on the 200th day of the conflict, Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the Ukrainian soldiers who “liberated hundreds of our cities and towns… the most recent of which are Balakliïa, Izioum and Koupiansk.”
Earlier in the evening, various Ukrainian officials, including the head of state, announced important Power outages in the east of the country, accusing Moscow.
