The Russian company Kalashnikov will increase the production of drones for the military, President Alán Lushnikov announced on Tuesday.
“We are developing a range of unmanned devices, which is especially important in the current circumstances. These are tactical drones. I mean, all of them that are not launched from airports. That’s our niche”said on state television.
He stressed that Kalashnikov-manufactured drones had “very good” performance in the context of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, so the company proposes to “increase production and develop new” models.
In August, Lushnikov assured that the company would focus on the production of “suicide” Lancet and Kub drones, but would not increase production of other devices.
Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin assured that every platoon of the Russian army must have a drone to fight the “enemy” in Ukraine, whose territory has been bombed by the Russian Federation in recent months with devices produced in countries such as Iran.
