An explosion at the Kabul airport left at least 10 dead and eight injured, in an attack whose authorship has not yet been claimed, a source in the Taliban interim government said on Sunday.
A spokesman for the Afghan Interior Ministry, Abdul Nafi Tekor, said early in the morning that the explosion would have occurred in front of a guardhouse in the military zone of Kabul airport at the time, without giving any number of injuries. or dead.
So far, there is no claim to the attack, although similar explosions have been perpetrated by the Islamic State (IS) Khorasan, the Afghan branch of the terrorist group, which considers the Taliban traitors to the orthodoxy of ‘sharia’ (Islamic law). ).
The Islamic State (IS) Khorasan appears as the main threat to the country’s stability, although the Taliban insists on denying that the armed organization constitutes a security challenge.
