“Wherever we are, at home, at work, in a trench, on the road, in Ukraine or abroad, our family is closer than ever,” the leader said in a speech lasting just over four minutes.
Change of clothes for the president
Volodymyr Zelensky ditched his military uniform for the occasion and donned a vyshyvanka, a traditional Ukrainian shirt. Usually white and embroidered in colours, he retains here the military color.
“During the holidays, you cannot wear dark or worn clothes so that problems do not come to you. But problems came to us on February 24, 2022. From then on we are no longer dressed in white and we let ourselves fight against the dark forces. “, justified the Ukrainian president.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday ordered a ceasefire for a period of 36 hours, the time of the Orthodox Christmas festivities. But Kyiv and Moscow accused each other this Friday of bombing during this truce.
