Three hundred thirty thousand people are without electricity in California, USA, due to the storm that hit that US state in recent days, with heavy rain and wind. The so-called bomb cyclone has already killed at least six people. Among them is a boy who died after a tree fell and crushed the family home.
And the forecasts warn that the storm will not abate. Forecasters point to a new storm for Monday, with rain and even snow in mountainous regions.
Given this scenario, the governor declared a state of emergency on Wednesday and authorized the National Guard to provide disaster relief. Local authorities have issued life and property advisories in much of California.
