An earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale and originating 95 kilometers deep was recorded this Monday off Kepulauan Tanimbar, Indonesia. reports the United States Geological Center.
There are no active tsunami alerts, but a magnitude 5.4 aftershock has already been recorded, caused by an earthquake 102.7 kilometers deep.
