The former president told CNN Brazil that he originally planned to stay in the United States until the end of January, but now plans to return to Brazil earlier than planned.
“I intend to bring forward the date of my return because, in Brazil, the doctors are already aware of the intestinal disorders that I have been suffering from since the knife attack,” said Jair Bolsonaro, reports CNN Brazil.
Jair Bolsonaro, 67, has serious consequences for the stabbing that almost cost him his life in September 2018, just before his election as president.
Intestinal obstructions, subocclusions or adhesions: he has been urgently hospitalized half a dozen times and re-operated six times since the end of 2018.
