A Russian Columnist Recommends The Use Of Tactical Nuclear Weapons At French Military Sites

The propaganda leader on Russian national television believes these attacks are necessary to prevent Ukraine from killing its soldiers and destroying its equipment.

Vladimir Soloviev persists and signs. Now known for his scandalous outings on the fringes of the Ukrainian conflict, the Kremlin’s top propagandist in the Russian media had crossed several red lines earlier in the week after proposing “preemptive strikes” in France. A way of responding to Paris, that he has promised to send armored vehicles to Kyiv.

“Full-fledged World War III”

In the program broadcast by the state platform Smotrim, the journalist once again returned to the desire of France, but also of other NATO countries, to send tanks to Ukraine. For him, these announcements have transformed the conflict into a “Third World War in its own right” and Moscow must now target countries that he believes have become co-belligerents.

They are involved with their tanks, and it doesn’t matter how much they give. We have to review our red line,” Soloviev says.

“In France, Poland or Great Britain, we must officially declare it legitimate to attack military targets during our attacks,” he adds, referring to the places where these armored vehicles are stored and produced.

During this argument, the propagandist goes even further. According to him, if Moscow knows “in which French city there are tanks ready to be sent to our territory (the unilaterally annexed Ukrainian regions, editor’s note)”, then the use of “tactical nuclear weapons” could be foreseen.

“Otherwise, we are going to wait for hundreds or thousands of tanks to arrive on our territory. For what? Keep losing our soldiers and our equipment? We have to blow them up along the way and that will be it,” he concludes. .

Russian grudge against France

After a first outing at the beginning of the week, where Soloviev had already mentioned the preventive strikes against France, the spokesman for the Russian embassy in Paris, Alexandre Makogonov, wanted to reassure the French on the BFMTV set.

“Here, in front of you, on this set, I can reassure you and your audience. Don’t be afraid,” he said.

However, this same Makogonov had warned the French against growing resentment from the Russians, particularly since the announcement of the tanks being sent in the direction of Kyiv.

“We cannot consider France as a friendly country,” he warned.

For him, the damage is particularly deep in the Russian collective imagination, while France, “which we have always considered a friendly country”, now provides “tanks and weapons to kill the Russians”.
