The coronation of Carlos III is in May and will be festive for three days

The coronation of King Charles III of England, on May 6, will include three days of activities including a show, a large-scale luncheon and a call to get the British involved in volunteerism.

Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the British Royal Family, has released the first details of the official program for the coronation of King Charles III, which will include a music, dance and light show with the participation of “world icons of music”, orchestras and a multicultural and inclusive choral group, the BBC said.

A “Coronation Grand Lunch” is also planned in the streets on Sunday 7 May, while on 8 May, which should be declared a national holiday, there will be a call for the British to get involved in voluntary and charitable initiatives.

Charles III and the Queen Consort, Camilla, will be crowned at Westminster Abbey in a religious ceremony led by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, leader of the Anglican Church.

In a statement released on Saturday, Buckingham Palace did not reveal whether Prince Harry, son of Charles III, and his wife Meghan Markle will attend the ceremony.

King Carlos III, aged 74, was proclaimed immediately after the death of his mother, Isabel II, on September 8, aged 96 and after 70 years of reign.

Isabel II’s coronation took place on June 2, 1953, more than a year after it was proclaimed, lasted nearly three hours and had 8,251 guests, representing 129 countries and territories.
