A war that will take place on Russian territory? The announcement on Wednesday of the delivery of heavy tanks to Kyiv by several Western countries, including the United States and Germany, sounds like a turning point in the eleven-month conflict between Ukraine and Russia. And while President Volodymyr Zelensky has welcomed this new military aid, one of his advisers warns that the conflict may no longer be played out solely on Ukrainian soil.
“I officially confirm it: an escalation of the war in Russia is inevitable and there will be different blows to different targets,” Mykhaïlo Podoliak said in a video published recently by the Tpyxa outlet.
Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg “will be exhibited”
If Mykhaïlo Podoliak insists that “Ukraine does not hit Russia” in this conflict, “the logic of war and the escalation of war within Russia will be inevitable.”
“Those pampered and lazy cities that thought they lived in another reality will be exposed. Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg… Everything will be exposed to the escalation of the war, but this escalation is an internal problem of the Russian Federation”, concluded this close friend of the Ukrainian president.
