Two rockets fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel overnight from Thursday to Friday were intercepted by defense systems, said the Israeli army, which responded with airstrikes against the Palestinian enclave.

The Israeli armed forces “are currently attacking the Gaza Strip,” they said in a statement. Security sources in Gaza, a territory controlled by the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, told AFP that there had been 15 attacks, with no injuries reported.
