US authorities released video this Friday showing the assault with a hammer on Paul Pelosi, husband of then Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, on October 28 last year.
The images were obtained through the body cameras of the police officers called to the scene.

Attacker David DePape broke into Pelosi’s home in San Francisco, California, using a rope, a pair of gloves and duct tape, according to the Justice Department.
Nancy Pelosi was in Washington that day and her husband, who was at home, turned out to be the victim. Before Paul Pelosi, 82, was attacked with a hammer and suffered a skull fracture, he had time to call 911.
The San Francisco district attorney said the attack was politically motivated.

After watching I now have more questions than answers
Why didn’t Paul say “please help” or something more urgent?
Why did he say “how are you?” at the police?
It seems he first wanted the police to leavepic.twitter.com/3EJ7n4rT2i
