An armed attack on a synagogue in East Jerusalem left at least five dead and three seriously injured, Israeli emergency services revealed on Friday.
The Magen David Adom emergency service, quoted by the Efe agency, counted “five deaths declared at the scene, three victims taken to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital, including a 70-year-old man in critical condition, a 20-year-old man in serious condition and another 14-year-old in moderate to serious condition.
“The terrorist who fired was neutralized on the spot,” the Israeli police said about the incident that occurred in the Neve Yaakov neighborhood in Jerusalem, where a large police contingent was deployed.
