Russia launches attack on key Ukrainian infrastructure. Explosions in Kiev

Russia launched a “large-scale” missile strike on Friday, which mainly hit key energy production and storage points in Ukraine, the Ukrainian military said.

The Kiev military points out that Russia has fired “six Kalibr cruise missiles” and at least “35 S-300 (surface-to-air) missiles” at targets in Kharkiv and Zaporijia.

Russian forces also launched “seven Shahed drones (unmanned devices)” against strategic points in Ukraine.

“The enemy [Rússia] hit cities and vital infrastructure in Ukraine,” the Kyiv army said in a statement.

“In the morning of February 10, several explosions were heard in the capital of Ukraine [hoje]as part of Russia’s latest missile attack on Ukraine,” local officials said.

“Air defense is currently active in the zone [Kiev]according to the military administration,” indicates the publication Kyiv Independent through the social network Twitter.

So far there is no information about possible victims of these attacks.

Several explosions occurred in the Ukrainian capital after the anti-aircraft warning system was activated.

The Russian military operation of the past few hours takes place at a time when the Ukrainian head of state, Volodymyr Zelensky, is making direct contacts in Europe to obtain weapons suitable for the Russian military campaign.
