Two people, a 20-year-old and an eight-year-old boy, were killed in a ramming attack on a bus stop in East Jerusalem on Friday, according to police and emergency services reports.
The attack, whose perpetrator was “neutralized”, also injured five people, two of them in serious condition, according to the Police.
“Terrorist car bomb”
The tragedy occurred on the first day of the Israeli weekend in Ramot, a Jewish settlement district in the Israeli-annexed eastern part of the Holy City.
It is a “terrorist attack with a ram car,” said a police spokesman, specifying that “the suspect” had been “neutralized.”
Behind a large police device that prohibits access to the premises, a blue car is immobilized on the sidewalk at the height of a canopy. Among the nearby rubble, a doll.
Many rescuers were active on the scene, overhead by a helicopter and a drone.
