36 Russian missiles rained down on Ukraine during the early hours of Thursday. Half will have been stopped by the umbrella umbrella that is the Ukrainian air defense. In total, 16 intercepted missiles and drones will be intercepted.
The Southern Operational Command assures, in a statement, that eight missiles were fired from a single ship in front of the Black Sea, with Kalibr cruise missiles, and all were intercepted between Mykolaiv and Kherson. On the other hand, Kiev acknowledges that the Russian attack has wreaked havoc in the north and west of the country, as well as in the regions of Dnipro, in the southwest, and Kirovohrad, further in the center. The statement does not clarify, however, what objectives will have been achieved.
For now, it is known that a power grid infrastructure has been reached in Lviv, in western Ukraine, Maksym Kozytskyin, the region’s governor, confirmed on Telegram. In the city of Pavlohrad, a 79-year-old woman was killed and at least seven others were injured, local governor Serhiy Lysak said.
