A 21-year-old German woman revealed on Instagram that she may be Madeleine McCann, the girl who disappeared during a family holiday in the Algarve in 2007.
“Help me, I need to talk to Kate and Gerry McCann. I think I could be Madeleine. I need a DNA test. British and Polish police detectives are ignoring me,” Julia Faustyna wrote on the social network.
The main arguments used by the young German are her green eyes and a birthmark near her eye, similar to Maddie McCann’s. As for the question of age, Julia ignores the discrepancy. If she’s alive, the missing girl will be 19 years old, almost 20.

The young woman claims in the Instagram story that she has already spoken to someone from the McCann family and that she has the opportunity to speak to the missing girl’s parents.
Since Madeleine McCann’s disappearance, several theories have emerged as to what happened, regarding the arrest by German police of the prime suspect in the kidnapping and the girl’s alleged death, Christian Brueckner.
