Rod Stewart’s first recording tape goes up for auction. The bid base is greater than 500 euros

The magnetic tape containing what is considered Rod Stewart’s first studio recording will be auctioned this Thursday.

The seven songs helped the singer land his first contract with music publisher Decca in 1964.

The tape will be auctioned by a former person in charge of the singer’s career only as a collector’s item and without intellectual property rights. The bid base is 500 pounds (about 567 euros).

The recording was made on June 18, 1964 and includes the songs: “Just Like I Treat You”, “Moppers Blues”, “Bright Lights Big City”, “Keep Your Hands Off Her”, “Don’t Tell Nobody” , “Ain’t That Loving You Baby” and “Worksong.”
