Russia says it was targeted by ‘massive’ Ukrainian drone strike in annexed Crimea
Russia announced on Wednesday that there had been a “massive” attack by Ukrainian drones in the Crimea region, a territory annexed in 2014 by Russia.
The ten Ukrainian planes sent to this peninsula have been neutralized, the Russian military said.
This is the second day in a row that Moscow has reported a drone strike. On Tuesday, several Russian regions, including Moscow for the first time, had been targeted by Ukrainian drones.

Ukraine congratulated itself on Wednesday for having “beaten the terror of winter”, marked by intense Russian bombardments that plunged millions of people into the cold.
“Winter is over. It was very difficult, all Ukrainians felt it,” President Volodymyr Zelensky declared in the evening. “But we managed to supply power and heating to Ukraine.”
“It was cold and dark, but we were unshakable (…) Ukraine has overcome the winter terror,” said the head of Ukrainian diplomacy Dmytro Kouleba.

At least two people were killed in an attack on an apartment building in Zaporizhia, southern Ukraine, local authorities said on Thursday.
“People are under the rubble. According to preliminary information, two people died,” said Anatoly Kourtev, secretary of the town hall, on Telegram, saying that this building had been “almost completely destroyed.”
