The Maritime Rescue authorities have rescued this Friday morning 37 people who were sailing in a small boat southeast of the capital of the island of Lanzarote, Arrecife, according to an official source.
The rescue was carried out by the crew of the ship Guardamar Polimnia, which has transferred 36 men and one woman, all of North African origin, to the La Cebolla dock, in Lanzarote.
On Thursday, Maritime Rescue had already rescued 47 migrants, 20 of whom were possibly minors, from a boat located 30 kilometers off the coast of the island of Lanzarote.
The 47 occupants of the boat disembarked at the La Cebolla dock in Arrecife, all of whom were of North African origin, six of whom were taken to the island hospital due to minor leg injuries.
