At least six people were killed in attacks by Russian troops on the city of Kherson on Saturday, including damage to civilian infrastructure, Ukrainian authorities said.
“On March 11, 2023, the aggressor state forces again bombed the city of Kherson. Three civilians were killed as a result of the impact of an enemy projectile that landed near a supermarket,” the city government said in a statement. through the social network Telegram.
The report, quoted by the Ukrinform news agency, adds that the number of casualties is still being confirmed, admitting there are more since the bombing of the city has continued.
For his part, the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported that “Kherson is again under attack from the Russian army.”
Also in a Telegram message quoted by the Unian bureau, Prokudion specified that three people died and two others were injured on the Mykolaiv road, also in Kherson, in an attack by Russian forces.
The military leader did not specify whether the victims were soldiers or civilians.
On Friday, Russian forces launched 71 attacks on the Kherson region and 13 on the city, killing three and wounding five.
In addition, 73 people were evacuated from the area liberated by Ukrainian troops.
