About thirty migrants of North African origin who disembarked on the island of Alborán, in Spain, were transferred this Sunday to the port of Motril, in Granada, by the Maritime Rescue authorities.
The migrants, who were on the island of Alborán in the custody of the Spanish Navy, were traveling in two boats, which left on Friday and Saturday from two different points in northern Morocco.
The migrants are all men, of legal age and in good health.
The Red Cross assisted them upon their arrival at the port of Motril, but none of them required special care, sources from the organization told Efe.
The migrants were tested for covid-19 and then handed over to the police, who will transfer them to the temporary reception center for foreigners, where they will remain for the next three days.
