Michelle Yeoh won the Academy Award for Best Actress at the 95th Academy Awards of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Her distinction for her role in “Everything and Everywhere at the Same Time” was a “beacon of hope” for the actress, making her the first Asian to win an Oscar.
“To all the boys and girls watching tonight that look like me, this is a beacon of hope and possibility. This is proof that dreams do come true,” said Michelle Yeoh. “And ladies, never let anyone tell you that you’re past your prime. Never give up,” she added.

“Everything everywhere at the same time,” by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, took home seven awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.
