Police killed at least 16 people and injured several today when a bus ended up in a roadside ditch.

As a result, “14 people died on the spot and another two people on the way to the hospital. Another eight or nine people were transported to the hospital with injuries,” Mofazzal Haque added.
The manager said that so far the causes of the accident are not known: “Because it happened early in the morning, we couldn’t find any witnesses. The injured passengers said they were asleep when it happened.”
