French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne plans to receive parliamentary groups and political parties, including the opposition, in the week of April 3, to “appease the country,” the minister announced in an interview with AFP.
It is also planned to receive representatives of the community, according to the person in charge. The prime minister also expressed his openness to eventual meetings with unions and trade union organizations in the coming week.
Demonstrations and violence have shaken the country since the approval, without a vote in parliament, of the controversial reform on raising the retirement age on March 16.
