The United States Federal Reserve (Fed) announced on Wednesday an increase of 75 basis points in its interest rate, an increase identical to the one it had decided on in the last two meetings.
This is the fifth increase since March and the third in a row of this size, leaving the fed funds rate now between 3% and 3.25%, the highest level in 14 years.
