Seven people, five of Belgian nationality, one Turkish and one Bulgarian, were arrested in Belgium today in two investigations into “possible terrorist attacks”, according to the federal prosecutor’s office.

Sergey R. and Karim H. are charged in one count with “participation in the activities of a terrorist group”, the indictment further states.
Adam D. is also charged with “preparing a terrorist crime” and “distributing a message with intent to incite the commission of a terrorist crime”.
In the investigation in Brussels, the three suspects were arrested in Molenbeek, Schaerbeek (two municipalities in the Belgian capital) and in Zaventem, near Brussels.
In the case being investigated in Antwerp, one of the five suspects who were arrested in the early hours of Monday has been released.
The seven arrested suspects will appear in court on Monday charged with supervising pre-trial detention.
