Bucha massacre. Zelensky says Ukraine will “never forgive”

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday the country will “never forgive” Russia for its occupation of Bucha, a town near the Ukrainian capital where Moscow forces have been accused of massacring civilians.

“365 days since it is a free Ukrainian city once again. A symbol of the atrocities of the army of the occupying country. We will never forgive. We will punish everyone,” Zelensky said in a statement to reporters.

Taking to social media, Zelensky marked the date with a video showing the city, before and after the 33 days of Russian occupation.

“More than 1,400 dead, including 37 children. More than 175 people were found in mass graves and torture chambers. 9,000 Russian war crimes,” the Ukrainian president wrote on Facebook.

Ukraine has been under attack and invasion by the Russian Federation since February 24, 2022.
