Influencer and former British kickboxer Andrew Tate was released on Friday after losing his appeal against the 30-day extension of his prison sentence in Romania.
However, Tate remains under house arrest, as does his younger brother Tristan, 34.
The information was revealed by the former athlete’s spokesman, quoted by Heaven NewS.
The 36-year-old British YouTuber lost his fourth appeal on March 14 since he was arrested with his brother on December 29 on suspicion of human trafficking, rape and criminal association for sexual exploitation.
The Tate brothers had been under investigation since spring last year and were finally arrested in late December, along with two Romanian citizens, after prosecutors spent several months collecting evidence. In April, the brothers were questioned by police for five hours, but were later released after an American and a Romanian girl accused them of kidnapping.
This criminal organization was aimed at recruiting, harboring and exploiting women, who would be forced to create material with pornographic content for later distribution on websites about this theme. With these activities, the group will have raised large sums of money.
Police believe the victims were misled by the British, who told them they wanted a marital relationship with them, for which they claimed to have real feelings of love. The women would later have been transported and housed in buildings in Ilfov, where they would have been victims of physical, mental (harassment, constant surveillance, control and invocation of alleged debts) and sexual violence.
