The passage of a tornado through the capital of the US state of Arkansas last night left a trail of great destruction and more than 70,000 people without electricity.
The mayor of the city of Little Rock says it was a “devastating” tornado, with trees uprooted and many homes damaged.
Hospitals have been receiving injuries, but emergency teams have had great difficulty reaching the victims because many roads are blocked.
The governor of the state of Arkansas urges the population to remain vigilant, since more storms are forecast.
