Ukraine has ordered 100 Rosomak multi-purpose armored vehicles manufactured in Poland under a Finnish license, Poland’s Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced this Saturday.
“I am bringing an order placed yesterday by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal for 100 Rosomaks to be manufactured here,” said Mateusz Morawiecki during a visit to the factory of these vehicles in the southern Poland town of Siemianowice Slaskie.
The order will be financed by funds Poland has received from the European Union and funds Ukraine has received from the United States, the Polish prime minister said, without providing details or the total cost of the contract.
The United States and its allies provided funding and weapons to Ukraine after Russia invaded the country in February 2022.
The Rosomak is an armored vehicle licensed by Patria, a Finnish defense, security and aerospace company majority owned by the Finnish government.
