The derailment of a train this morning has caused several injuries in the south of the Netherlands. After the accident, one of the trains caught fire and the injured were rescued by the authorities, who mobilized hundreds of means to the scene.
The accident took place in the Voorschoten region, Leiden, a small town located in the south of the Netherlands between The Hague and Amsterdam.
So far, there are no records of fatalities. The front part of one of the trains came loose and derailed, having been projected, stresses the Dutch agency ANP.
About fifty passengers were on board the train. The accident forced the suspension of train circulation on the Leiden and The Hague line.
