Former US President Donald Trump pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Manhattan criminal court to 34 counts of falsifying business records, according to various media outlets.
The claim of innocence was made during the brief session in New York court where prosecutors unveiled the grand jury indictment against the former president and businessman.
As he left the courtroom, Trump did not respond to questions from reporters on the scene.
The accusations are linked to the case of an alleged payment of bribes to a former pornographic actress, Stormy Daniels, which would have served to buy her silence about an extramarital affair, before the 2016 presidential election campaign.
