More than 200 sub-Saharan immigrants tried early this Friday morning to approach the border fence that separates Ceuta from Morocco, but the authorities managed to contain the group before reaching that area.
The situation occurred around 06:00 local time (05:00 in Lisbon) and the attempted entry forced the temporary closure of the Tarajal border customs by the National Police, as well as the deployment of land and maritime units of the Civil Guard, according to several sources to the Eph agency.
None of the migrants managed to get close to the double fence that separates Ceuta from Morocco.
