The reconstruction works of Notre-Dame will conclude in 2024, according to forecasts, French President Emmanuel Macron said this Friday, as the fourth anniversary of the fire in that Parisian cathedral approaches.
“Five years to resurrect Notre-Dame. It is titanic. We are working on it. Craftsmen, restorers, workers and colleagues, all the construction teams have guaranteed it again tomorrow: we will be there in 2024.” .

Macron added that the cathedral will be reborn and that he is thinking of creating a museum dedicated to Notre-Dame because of its importance in the “national destiny”.
According to the last official report of the works, the cleaning and reconstruction tasks began after the completion of the initial stabilization phase.
The delegation that accompanied the president was able to observe the restored transept and the completion of the structure that will support the new spire of the cathedral that will be installed at the end of April.
Notre-Dame’s iconic 96-meter “arrow”, which was lost during the fire on April 15, 2019, will begin to be rebuilt later this month.
