Lula’s wife is shopping at a luxury store on Av. of Freedom

Brazil’s first lady, Janja, was filmed this Friday at a luxury store on Lisbon’s Avenida da Liberdade, accompanying her husband, Lula da Silva, on his first trip to Europe since returning as president.

Janja visited luxury men’s fashion store Zegna, where jackets can cost 2900 euros, ties 170 euros and t-shirts 1950 euros.

The advice of the first lady did not explain to the Brazilian press.

Brazilian President Luís Inácio Lula da Silva arrived in Lisbon this Friday for an official visit to Portugal, with a busy schedule, including a Portuguese-Brazilian summit, on Saturday afternoon, and an aviation activity ahead.

Lula da Silva will be in Portugal until April 25, with a delegation of “an expressive number”, with several ministers, including those of Culture, Transport, Health, Defense, Science and Technology, Racial Equality and Human Rights and Citizenship.

The visit program begins on Saturday with a welcome ceremony with military honors at Praça do Império, in Lisbon, followed by another short ceremony at the Jerónimos Monastery, with the laying of a wreath on the tomb of Luís de Camões.

Afterwards, the Brazilian head of state will meet his Portuguese counterpart, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, at the Belém Palace, followed by a larger gathering of delegations and lunch with the Portuguese Prime Minister.

On Monday 24 April, Luís Inácio Lula da Silva will participate in the Portugal-Brazil Business Forum in Matosinhos.

The return to Lisbon will be made aboard a KC-390 produced by Embraer, a company with significant investments in Portugal, and from which the state has recently purchased five of those aircraft.

Upon arrival in Lisbon, the Brazilian leader will go to OGMA — Indústria Aeronáutica de Portugal, in Alverca, driven by Embraer, and in the afternoon he will fulfill another of the highlights of the program: in the Palace of Queluz, he will deliver the Camões- prize 2019 for the singer and Brazilian writer Chico Buarque.

A “ceremonial session” in honor of the Brazilian president is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, ahead of the April 25 celebration, in which Lula da Silva will deliver a speech.

But the Brazilian head of state will no longer attend the solemn session of the April 25 celebration, as he will then travel to Madrid with an agenda that includes meetings with the Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, Filipe VI of Spain and even a forum affairs.
