Eight people were injured in two shootings in Washington on Friday night, the Metropolitan Police Department said Saturday, with authorities suspecting the incidents are related.
The fact that the incidents happened in the same part of town, but in different places and in a short period of time, led police to suspect that they may be related, although the reason is still unknown.
At a press conference, one of the chiefs of patrol for the Metropolitan Police, Andre Wright, said police had been called to intervene following a gunfire warning on Lebaum Street at around 10 p.m. local time, after they had gunfired seven men found it. bullet wounds, but not life-threatening.

Authorities are now looking for a car described by several Lebaum Street witnesses as one that said the gunmen shot “randomly” at people as they passed through the block.
