The High Representative of the EU for Foreign Policy, Josep Borrell, launched this Monday, in Luxembourg, the challenge to Lula da Silva to visit Ukraine. The head of European diplomacy considers that to speak of peace with “credibility and honesty” it is necessary to know on the ground “who is the aggressor and who is being attacked”.
“You have to be very clear about what is happening. There is an aggressor who violated the United Nations Charter and invaded another country, and there is a victim of that aggression,” said Borrell, considering that “this type of approach is not can accept the Venezuelan woman, who says that one does not want to stop and the other does not either.
“You cannot put the aggressor and the attacked in the same bag,” defended the head of diplomacy, considering that the result of the Russian aggression against Ukraine will have to be known on the ground.
“I want to remind all the people who call for peace of the horrible situation on the ground. I also ask for peace. But, where were those calls when Russia was concentrating troops on the borders? ”, She questioned.
“We all want peace and Ukrainians first, and until then we will continue to support the defense of Ukraine,” Borrell said, issuing a challenge to those who speak of peace in Ukraine.
