Vladimir Putin returned to work in the Kremlin after a drone strike

Russian President Vladimir Putin returned to work in his office this Thursday after the drone attack on the Kremlin that took place on Tuesday night, the international press reported.

Russian public television broadcast footage of Putin meeting with Russian Economy Minister Maxim Reshetnikov, according to EFE news agency.

When the attack took place, the Kremlin leader was at his country residence in Novo-Ogariovo, on the outskirts of Moscow, where he spends most of his time.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov assured that the incident would not change the president’s plans and that he would be working at the Kremlin today.

Peskov stated that in extreme situations, Putin always “keeps serenity, concentration and clarity in the assessments and orders he issues”.

The Kremlin on Thursday accused the United States of being behind a Ukrainian attack on the Kremlin and other attacks on Russian soil, but Washington categorically denied any involvement in these attacks.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also denied any connection to the attack on the Kremlin, saying Kiev is only defending itself and not targeting Russian territory.

On May 9, as scheduled, Putin will preside over the traditional military parade on Red Square to mark the anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany in World War II.

However, on the same day, the Russian leader will not participate in the people’s march that will take place in the streets of Moscow – with Russians carrying pictures of their relatives who died in World War II – as this event [Regimento Imortal] has been canceled for security reasons.
