The rest of the funds will be distributed in direct aid worth 355 million euros for the meat and dairy production sector, 276 million for agriculture and five million for beekeeping.
In addition to direct aid, the Government also approved tax benefits for producers who had a 20% reduction in their income.
The decree also includes a transversal measure that prevents working outdoors in situations of extreme heat, given the high temperatures expected this summer.
With the measures presented, the Government increases aid to the agricultural sector to more than 2,190 million euros, which had already been supported with various packages of measures approved since 2022, for an amount of more than 1,400 million euros.
The decree comes after the driest year in history, according to data from the State Meteorological Agency, and with a drop in water reserves of 48.9%.
