Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced his candidacy for the White House at an event on Twitter. The idea was to mark a position against former President Donald Trump, who used this social network like no other for his political rise – but from which he was eventually suspended. But the spell turned against the wizard and the announcement was marred by technical difficulties. And the last laugh was Trump.
“I know Ron. The same way he managed the ad, he will manage the country,” said the former president on the social network Truth Social (which he created after being removed from Twitter, which he did not return to despite already having permission to do so). Trump didn’t stop there, he published a video of one of the failed launches of SpaceX rockets (the company of Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter that hosted the ad) and compared it to the launch of DeSantis’ candidacy.
The technical problems on the social network were apparently due to the servers’ difficulties in handling the increased traffic. The former president was not the only one to benefit from this. The team of the current president, Joe Biden, posted on Twitter a clutch to a fundraising site and said, “This clutch It works”.
As for DeSantis, he also posted a candidacy video: “I am running for President of the United States to lead our great American comeback.”.
