An explosion at a police station in Dacheng, northern China, has left at least four people dead and two missing.
At the time of the explosion, on Friday, 11 people were affected, nine of whom were located, four died and two are still missing, state CCTV said.
Dacheng police officers were taking samples and identifying fireworks when the explosion happened.
Authorities have sent rescue teams to the scene and continue to search for the missing.
Fireworks and firecrackers are very popular in the Asian country for celebrations of all kinds, although local authorities have tried to limit their use in recent years to reduce pollution and safety risks.
