Drone attack hits administrative building and pipeline in Russia

Two drones attacked an administrative building of an oil pipeline in Russia’s western Pskov region, the regional governor said on Saturday.

“Early in the morning, an explosion damaged the pipeline administrative building near Litvinovo, Nevelsky district,” said Russian governor Mikhail Vedernikov.

Soon after, he said that, according to preliminary information, the building was “damaged as a result of an attack by two unmanned air forces”.

There have been no casualties and the investigation is ongoing.

According to unconfirmed reports from Baza, a Russian Telegram intelligence agency, the drones targeted the Transneft pipeline company in Pskov.

The explosion took place in the village of Litvinovo, about 10 kilometers from the border with Belarus.

In recent weeks, reports of drone strikes in Russia have multiplied in regions bordering Ukraine.

On Friday, two drones attacked buildings in the center of the city of Krasnodar, in southern Russia.

Moscow has blamed Kiev – and its Western backers – for the number of attacks and sabotage operations. Ukraine has denied involvement.
