Ukraine announced on Sunday that it had fought back “the most significant drone strike” in kyiv since the start of the Russian invasion, which left two dead and three wounded, Ukrainian authorities announced.
Ukrainian officials said that overnight from Saturday to Sunday they destroyed 52 of the 54 explosive-laden drones launched by Moscow into the country, including “more than 40” in the capital alone.
“In total, there was a record number of explosive ‘drones’ launched: 54!” the Ukrainian air force confirmed on Telegram, claiming to have “destroyed 52”.
So far, authorities have reported two deaths and three injuries in kyiv.
